change,for no one

If the true meaning of who we really are gives us the power to get motivated, then life would be less complicated.I was speaking with a friend one day,and she told me something that i often hear people say to me..."Change for no one".

I stay true to who i am and i sometimes have to catch myself in the way i react,or say something. Many people know me as a humble, caring person;in which i am 80-95% of the time that i have been here alive...I had to complete a self-performance activity a couple of semesters ago ...which i had to do for my psychology class. I found that assignment very intresting because i was able to hear nothing, but the TRUTH from which i surveyed on my family & friends on "why they were my friends and /or why they loved me"?...Of course i told them to be truthful, but never did i imagine how such a positive response i got even from my FAMILY MEMBER( who lives with me and see everything i've gone through)!!!;Needless to say, I was shocked and filled with humbleness...
The response that i got was "change for no one",and why they loved me or why they are my friend was because i am an Honest, caring ,sincere,mother-like positive, understanding,kind-hearted person...Just to name a few!

Now, this was coming out of their OWN mouths,i didn't tell them what to say...Everytime i think of something when i am down & sad, i remember that assignment & what my friends and family told me. So, I realized how important that quote is to me because they love me for who i am and i'm proud to say i returned that love and apperciation back at them, telling them what i think of them.

Why do you love your family or friends ? care to share?...
