learning the history...

America is full of diversity and charisma! we have our Native Americans,Latinos,African-Americans,middle eastern, islanders etc.I love to meet new people from different cultures because i get to learn new languages and the richness of their particular culture.
i recently had to write a paper based on Barack Obama & what his candidacy says about race relations in america! For me it was the toughest paper i have EVER wriiten, yet with a little help and research i found out a lot of intresting history between what occured in the 1950's & 1960's ,and how it has "Improved" today. I learned what minorities had to go through, and how awful things were back then. It made me realize how fortunate people in my age range are lucky.

The youth today is so involved with technology and other things; they do not have time to sit down and learn their history. Now i must admit i am part of this group, but i love history. It is said quote: "If you don't know your history,it will repeat itself". Many young people will not pay attention to this quote it seems as if many don't really care. I decided to write this piece because as a young person i am aware of how people minds shift to sterotypes if something goes wrong. But,the whole understanding is taking the lessons learned and using it!

Generally, i believe what is brought to your attention is supposed to teach you something useful. On the other hand, it could just be "A MIRACLE" that what a person is taught and they don't take in accordance to what being taught because they simply don't understand!
Back to what i was orignally saying, Many of us don't know our history and how we reach hear to have a diverse nation ... for one i am greatful for writing this essay because it taught some valuable lessons of how many people were humilated! lets keep moving forward to bigger and better things!
